Paris Hilton opens up awards season by hitting the first gifting lounge of 2010. Take a tour of her gifting day with The Daily Truffle!
Now in her 10th year of attendance, Paris has been attending Kari Feinstein’s pre-award parties since the 20th century. Having pioneered the industry of gifting suits ten years ago when “gifting” was not yet a household name and the only place it was done was in showrooms and in the Oscar gift bags, Kari’s cool connects around town enabled her to make a go of it herself when she was 23, starting a company with a friend to specialize in the first pre-awards show primping party “The Beauty Buffet” and also she operated her events as “The Cabana” for some time, as in “The Cabana at Cannes”, etc. Little has changed since the inception – Paris Hilton”Cabana at Cannes” years ago and is still hitting them up today. Friday, Paris made yet another cameo to pick up the latest and greatest in beauty, fashion and food. I’ve seen Paris at Kari’s Style Lounge during the Emmy’s and Golden Globes and Sundance throughout the years and I think it’s time we give you all a tour of her day a gifting suite and break it down for you from the inside.
PARIS’ VISIT TO THE PRE-GOLDEN GLOBE 2010 STYLE LOUNGE:
Paris’ first stop was at USANA healthcare – a health food company that makes vitamins. We got some cool melatonin from them – NEED MORE SLEEP! USANA Health Sciences develops and manufactures high-quality nutritional supplements, healthy weight-management products, and self-preserving personal-care products. I saw Paris the night before at Gia Coppola’s art show and for her little party-hopping, jet-setting, reality show filming (could she be on the new Real Housewives of Beverly Hills show with her Aunt Kim Richards?), she could probably use a little cellular rejuvenation. On to the Reebok station – the most exciting thing Reebok is doing recently is their new Easy Tones sneakers – they are the original makers of this gym-in-a-shoe sneaker that many other brands are now copying (lame). I have worn these around a little and they are really cool because the rounded bottom makes every step you take essentially like walking up a stair. It’s the same principle as the elliptical machines at the gym and this shoe technology was actually originally developed by Reebok in-house scientist. Now the fun part – Tacori for jewels! The very controversial concepts of gifting high-priced jewels to celebrities prompted the Internal Revenue Service to set new tax codes for those “gifted” items like this. In some cases, Paris may end up reporting the gift on her 2010 tax return as some sort of weird fees-rendered or gift section of her 1040 – or whatever she fills out.

Vivitar cameras, a brand we don’t hear nearly enough about, handed Paris a little camera – with which she IMMEDIATELY started talking pictures of herself. Vain, but cute, I think. Vivitar gave her a camcorder, after Paris said she has “tons” of cameras. LOL. You’re always hearing a lot about Nikon, Canon and Panasonic but this brand, Vivitar puts their money into quality, not ads with Ashton Kutcher taking “cool pix.” LOL. http://www.vivitar.com/
