It was a Family Affair kind of evening this 15th of April get your taxes in the mail day…!
First off this lovely early spring ‘top down convertible’ kind of night, was a star studded ohmygodisthatreally??? party @ the three tier Tod’s emporium on Rodeo to welcome incoming MOCA director Jeffrey Deitch … you had art vets and celeb royals Ed Ruscha, Angelica Houston, Jacqueline Bissett …
Want some hip turn of the century auteurs? How bout Michel Gondry and Gwen Stefani (looking quite chic in an updo and vava voom strapless dress)?
Jeffrey Deitch brings along some NYC party flavour with the likes of Bob Colacello, Lauren Santo Domingo and Aaron Rose.
How bout just down and out MovieStarGazingAction? Halle Berry, sporting some shiny Isabel Murant? Jessica Biel, movie star chic in black?
Kate Beckinsale, fetching in a purple jersey corset dress?
Gay Broadway Icon? Neil Patrick Harris …! HaHa!
It’s not a genuine party without our True Blue Angelenoes who make this city the great place that it is: Kelly Lynch, in vintage Zandra Rhodes, Jacquie Getty, Liz Goldwyn in a beautiful ballerina dress and China Chow. Ho Hum … all ending and beginning very nicely @ Sunset Towers for a yummy sit down dinner …

WHAT: Cocktails to celebrate Tod’s new Beverly Hills boutique which features a new “home” design concept unlike any of our stores throughout the world. To commemorate the re-opening, we collaborated with two renowned Italian pioneers with monumental achievements in the entertainment industry: Dante Ferretti; the Academy Award-winning production designer/art director and Milena Canonero, the three time Academy Award winning costume designer. In homage to Hollywood, Ferretti transformed the VIP showroom on the third floor of the boutique into an elegant, sophisticated lounge area reminiscent of 40’s supper clubs Ciro’s and Macombo – complete with an original 1946 rock-ola jukebox and lacquered paneled walls with amber mirroring. Canonero, in the spirit of Hollywood, designed a “Script bag” which launched exclusively in the Beverly Hills boutique.
The evening celebrated the arrival of the Museum of Contemporary Art’s (MOCA) newly appointed Director, Jeffrey Deitch and benefited Jeffrey’s first exhibition to be unveiled in June.
