Where: Grey Goose Blue Door 449 Main Street
When: Sunday, January 22nd
Sightings: Seth Rogen (whose mother and sister showed up to support), Justin Long, Ari Graynor (**Sundance it girl**), Mark Webber, Nia Vardalos, Lauren Miller, Mimi Rogers, director Jamie Travis
Music: DJ Spider played “it” bands such as Washed Out, M83, Gotye, Avicii, Adele, and more with wife Wells Butler at his side — Spider (Oliver) and Wells were also spotted at Questlove’s afternoon birthday party in The Canyons in Park City the day before.
Notes: Guests at the after party were given promotional pink telephones as party-favors that attached to their regular phones (see pics). We noticed GREY GOOSE has a new flavor … Cherry Noir which the bar ran out of just before 1am. For A Good Time, Call … premiered at the Eccles Theater in Park City earlier on Sunday night. Per Deadline.com, Focus Features just acquired Jamie’s feature debut, ‘For A Good Time Call’, for a little over $2 million. We took note of the cocktail napkins being passed around which were branded for the film and looked into it — turns out it was not the work of some marketing firm but instead was the director of the film who made them and even hooked up a rather lude voicemail from “Katie & Lauren” (named for film writers: Lauren Miller and Katie Anne Naylon) on the end of the 855 number which still works despite having too many digits.
Other events at GREY GOOSE Blue Door include …

Sunday 1/22: Sean Penn and Richard Gere held court on the first floor for half of the day, conducting press interviews from the Blue Door to promote their respective films, Penn’s This Must be the Place and Gere’s Arbitrage (which Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions acquire the rights to for $2.5 million after the strong reaction to its premiere). Stars including Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher, Allison Janney, Richard Jenkins, Paul Dano, Jon Heder, and Olivia Thirlby came by the space.

In related news … Last night, GREY GOOSE Entertainment and the Sundance Channel announced the green light for the sixth season of ICONOCLASTS. Musical legend and former ICONOCLAST Paul Simon held a panel discussion moderated by Sundance Channel GM Sarah Barnett, which brought down the house with laughter and ovation. Filmmaker Joe Berlinger, who directed Simon’s Sundance Film Under African Skies, as well as the first five seasons of ICONOCLASTS, was also on the panel.
