New York didn’t lack spots with good music and pretty crowds; we fell in love with Saraiva’s Le Baron as soon as we walked in for first time at the Colette party in NYFW last February (they were playing Comment Te Dire Adieu by Francoise Hardy), and we always end up at Nur’s Electric Room while in the city. However, André Balazs and André Saraiva planned a new pop up club and karaoke for us: Chez André.
Located at Balazs’ new Standard Hotel and hosted/designed by Saraiva itself, we went to Chez Andre for Narciso Rodriguez’s after party. The atmosphere reminded me to Le Baron in Cannes, and the place easily became my new favorite NYC spot. Nicholas Ullman karaoke was the genius singer host. And Myles Hendrick was DJ.
