Reviving This Legit 90s Hip Hip Show (from Beverly Hills High!)

“Funkee Phlavaz” was an underground rap music video show hosted by Alan Maman (now known as Alchemist, who was in the music duo The Whooliganz at the time of this show with Scott Caan). It was created by Beverly Hills high school sophomores Adam Jay Weissman and Harlan Toplitzky. There were 17 episodes sporadically produced during 1993 – 1995 that aired on Beverly Hills High School’s student run television station KBEV. Fellow students Mike Caren, Justin Trugman and Samrod Shenassa helped contribute in various forms during the three years in production. New (old) videos will be released in a new (old) episode every Tuesday, beginning May 27th on FunkeePhlavaz.Com.
