This Thursday, cult French brand APC, known for it’s cooler than cool minimalistic design, had its opening party for the new 2,500 sq foot location. Having moved across the street, this new APC location is the only store to have entrances on both Melrose Place and Melrose Avenue. This stunning shop could not be more within the APC aesthetic. Formerly an antique store, the designers made use of the 20 foot ceilings and added an all glass rooftop. This spacious settings, with all blonde wood and large farmed windows, screams simple yet sophisticated and oh so chic. We especially love the outdoor garden that stays in theme with french neighbor, Isabel Marant.
APC is one of the only french brands that is just ‘so cool’ without being snobby and having a serious price tag. That being said, its no wonder that it attracts all walks of life with one thing in common, they all have style!
When APC has a party, you can expect a lot. Well versed DJs, delicious drinks, a great atmosphere, and a guest list of the most interesting people in Fashion, Art, Music, etc, and the best looking crowd LA has seen in a long time. A few of the 500 guests we spotted include: Kanye West (who did a collab with APC), Virgil Abloh, Designer Anthony Vaccarello, Waris Ahluwalia, Alex Greenwald, APC Owner Jean Touitou, Roman Coppola, Waris One, DJ and LA native Charlie Eisner. We also saw a slew of LA fashion editors, skateboarders, photographers, and a few of LA’s agents.
Up until recently APC was very selective with where they placed the locations of their brand, but you can now find them online or in Los Angeles, New York, Germany, France, Japan, and South Korea. Word on the street is APC is planning to open stores in Silverlake and in Downtown, near Acne and the Ace Hotel.
