Annual Emmys Party Lists 2011

63rd Annual Emmy Awards Sunday, Sept. 18 at 8E/5P Hosted by Jane Lynch & Adam Scott

We must take this moment to congratulate the BAFTA team for finally moving their annual tea party out of century city. This year, they will have it (next Saturday afternoon) at the L’Ermitage on Burton Way which has recently become extremely party-friendly since their sale to Viceroy (the name will remain L’Ermitage) having hosted weddings, Grammys parties and film shoots – something the old Raffles L’ermitage never allowed.

In order to appease the neighbors, the hotel has started bi-weekly rooftop yoga classes to those who might otherwise give [name omitted] at the city a call. The neighbor-friendly policy has allowed them to have a 265-ton hydraulic crane parked for a week on Burton Way to set up for Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope/Grammys Party, film Just Go With It with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler and host the annual Angeleno Pool party just last month.

As for most everyone else, all is status quo – Grey Goose and Audi will be the biggest things you hear this week – right after Boardwalk Empire and Game Of Thrones (Audi hosted their annual pre-party at Cecconi’s last night and will be shuttling around celebrities to various parties this weekend and Grey Goose basically sponsors every party mentioned in this post – as well as the actual Emmys).

The nominees reception will happen again this friday at the PCD (the Harry & David coffee cart at the valet last year tickled us!), Jeffrey Katzenberg will do his usual evening before on the CAA lawn and according to Variety … NBC (at Spago), HBO (at PDC), ET (at Vibiana, where Stevie Nicks is set to perform (last year they had Cyndi Lauper)), Entertainment Weekly (at Boa), Art of Elysium (at the London) and the official after party (yawn) at the LA convention center (double yawn) are happening again – all the same venues as last year. We have also heard Lorne Micheals is also planning his usual Emmys Party for 30 Rock, which he produces.

The lounges are back on this year with the Eco Emmys Lounge in Hancock Park, Kari Feinstein‘s Style Lounge in Beverly Hills and the HBO lounge in the Four Seasons as usual.

The one new venture on the map we’ve heard about from Mikey Glazer at theinsider.com is AMC (Mad Men) who has been smart enough to take notice of Mr. C – the new hotel and resto on Pico Blvd and Beverwil Drive in Beverly Hills. The ill-located hotel makes up for it’s Pico ties with a stately arrival in which all the cars pull in the European-esque driveway FACING the hotel – which you never see (the easier call and better use of space is to pull in along side the hotel, but Mr. C understands the impact of a first impression and sacrifices an extra bungalow to make a statement and a statement it does make). The massive amount of valet, completely open hotel front, wooden pool decks and general good taste of the hotel design makes this a truffle fave (doesnt hurt that we heart the owners as well).

We shall be at the Emmys rehearsals this Saturday for some fun and behind the scenes sneak peeks (as you know at the truffle – we skip the red carpet in favor of the secret alley entrance every time but don’t worry, we have truffle hunters at the Emmys and parties as well).

Annual Golden Globes Party List 2011

We often get a lot of flack when we post parties ahead of time … it’s our favorite thing to do but it causes a lot of PR firms, celebrity wranglers and other friends of ours here at the Truffle to get 500 extra calls checking to see if there is space left on their lists. We are always hesitant to do it, however, since our good friend Matt Donnelly – reporter extraordinaire, went and popped the cherry this morning on the L.A. Times with a full blown roster of fetes for the Golden Globes weekend (nice Matt, lol)  – we decided we could go ahead and do our usual party list as well.

We are most excited for the Access Hollywood Gift Lounge at the Sofitel tomorrow but other good parties include: In-Style Beauty Lounge, BAFTA‘s usual tea party and HBO‘s luxury lounge – all at the Four Seasons (this a step in the right direction for BAFTA who has always done their parties at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in the past which is kinda, eh. #renovateme). Weinstein‘s party is at Bar 210 (#RIPtradervics) in the Bev Hilton and the In Style/Warner Brothers Viewing Party, HBO’s after party, Fox and the NBC/Universal party are also in the hotel. The actual awards are held here in the hotel as well from 5pm to 8pm so these parties are super convenient. Other parties from Matt’s list include Paramount, W Magazine (on Friday at Chateau produced by Cara events hosted by W editor Stefano Tonchi) party and Art of Elysium / Vogue party (on Saturday).

Also of note, the Critic’s Choice Awards which is held tonight at the Palladium (and airs tonight as well) will have their party at Siren Studios afterwards. *Please check out our lists from Sundance, Emmys, Oscars, MTV Movie Awards, and MTV Video Awards from 2010 by clicking on Awards Season. Annual Emmys Party List 2011

Note: Every since we started doing our party lists on The Daily Truffle, we notice every single outlet in town has started doing it … We are going to stop next year because it’s no longer cool and then everyone else will stop and then we will start again.

Well Trufflers, you’re emails, invites, BBM status updates  have been recieved and we have compiled your notes on the evenings happenings here for you … the best Emmys 2010 parties are as follows:

THURS/FRI Aug. 26/27

– Our friend Kari Feinstein will host her annual Style Lounge from their new location at the Montage

Eco Emmys Celebrity Chateau – look out for LA native Robbie Shaffer (son of OPI founders) who will be there on the company’s behalf

Byron & Tracey Beauty Bar in Beverly Hills – hosted by The A List and Ashlee Margolis, we are going to run over to chat with Charlotte Ronson and then be off

FRIDAY Aug. 27

– A friends of our who works with GREY GOOSE sent over an invite to the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Nominee reception at the Pacific Design Center – this is a really casual event that has a lot of the nominees come and the best part is the coffee cart they have outside by the valet

HBO Lounge at Four Seasons Hotel

Petersen Automotive Museum Emmy Awards Style Lounge – We are ub-sessed with the Petersen and are stalking them until we get a tour of their vault so any chance to penetrate, we will take

EW/WIF pre-Emmy’s Party at Sunset Marquis

Vanity Fair party at Chateau

SATURDAY Aug. 28

BAFTA/LA Tea Party in Century City – we super hate this location but we do like British men

Art of Elysium event at Milk Studios – basically, art of elysium has the best parties in all of LA which is not an easy thing to accomplish (see coverage here)

– The 4th Annual Evening Before party – hosted by Jeffrey Katzenberg and benefitting the Motion Picture & Television Fund – behind CAA in Century City, Michelle Pesce is DJing!!

NBC/Universal Emmy Party at Spago, anything Spago is always appealing especially for those of us who teethed on the Bistro Garden

SUNDAY Aug. 29

62nd Emmys at NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE (see coverage here)

ET (Entertainment Tonight) party at Vibiana with Cyndi Lauper & Sam Ronson

– Official Emmys party / Governors ball at the L.A. Convention Center – i dont even know why we put this on here. why will the Emmys not accept that no one wants to party at convention center, obviously the plan to have it conveniently located is enough. who is in charge? it’s more convenient to get in your car and valet again than to walk all the way over to the convention center next door. Grammys, if you are listening this goes for you too.

HBO’s Emmys Party at Pacific Design Center – ok OBVIOUSLY this is the E Ticket of Emmys parties based on pure logic. HBO has the best shows, therefore the shows will win the most awards so HBO will spend the most money. And we are correct EVERY year.

– 20th Century Fox/FX Emmy’s Party at Cicada – where? I mean, I know, but why?

Jimmy Fallon’s after-party at Trousdale – We heart JF and we heart Trousdale so

MPTF and Jeff Kaztenberg host The Evening Before
