Tuesday March 9th, small groups of editors gathered at a salon in Paris to view the last collection of Lee Alexander McQueen.

There will never be another show like this ever again….yes, they can find a new designer for the Alexander McQueen brand, but there will never be another Alexander McQueen.

McQueen used inspiration from artists like Hans Memling, Hugo van der Goes, Sandro Boticelli, and Jean Fouquet the way that people will use him as inspiration.  A lot of these dresses also remind me of Queen Elizabeth 1 and other great royalty from Europe.

Given that this show looks like it was made for English royalty, all I want to scream is long like mcQUEEN.

I am truly saddened and was just reminded why.

What an amazing way for the DJ duo to return…. I mean how much more Tron can you get than Daft Punk??  There music suits the theme of the movie perfectly, and the guys of Daft Punk look like they could costume and star in the film.

Electronic music duo Daft Punk will be composing the film score. At the time of the 2009 Comic-Con, it was revealed they have composed 24 tracks for the film. When Kosinski (the director) was asked why he decided to have Daft Punk to do the film score, he replied, “How could you not at least go to those guys?

Olivia Wilde revealed that the duo will also make an appearance in the film, and that Daft Punk may be involved with future promotional events.

Disney Digital 3D will release Tron Legacy on December 17th, 2010.

I remember Tron ‘oh so very well’, because as a child, this movie was on the Disney Channel 24-7 !

Jeff Bridges, who is now an Academy Award winner and an LA Native, returns to star in Tron Legacy.

The original Tron came out in 1982, and is about

Hacker/arcade owner Kevin Flynn is desperate to prove that the hottest videogames from ENCOM were stolen from him by a former co-worker, who is now a senior executive there. Flynn’s efforts, however, are made fruitless by ENCOM’s “Big Brother,” the megalomaniacal Master Control Program. One night, the MCP catches Flynn in an attempted hack and pulls him into the virtual world. Flynn finds that the MCP is making life in the virtual world just as, if not more, miserable as in the real world. Flynn’s only hope is to find TRON, a heroic independent system security program, and help him destroy the MCP to bring order to both worlds.

So what is Tron Legacy about?

Inside the ENCOM computer system, a program called CLU, created by Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges) during the original fight against the Master Control Program, has been causing chaos and destruction across the grid. Sean Flynn, son of former ENCOM CEO Kevin Flynn, is in search of his missing father, but Sean discovers that his father’s whereabouts are somehow connected to the program making a mess of the ENCOM system. In order to find his father, Sean has to go into the ENCOM system, and fight his way to CLU, but in the neon world of TRON, a lot has changed and new dangers await him at every turn.

Tron Legacy is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world thats unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his fathers disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevins loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

So I’m a little pissed that I’m not in Paris for FASHION WEEK, not for the other designers (JK), just because one of my good friends is showing her amazing couture collection.

Claudine’s show is tonight, at Wagram in Paris, France.

Claudine and I met a few years ago because my bffer, Sabrina Yadegar, went to fashion design school in Paris with Claudine at ESMOD.

A few years ago, Claudine moved to LA and lived with 2 of her 5 sisters….all with names starting with the letter C  (Claudine, Caroline, Catherine, Celine, Corinne)!

Clo, as we call her, went back and forth from LA to Paris to Greece and India and back to LA before deciding she was going to move back to Paris (POUEY!).

If you ask Barry Diller about the QVC teleshopping network he will silently grin about the $25 million, lucrative investment when made he stepped down as Chairman of 20th Century Fox in 1992. The husband of Diane Von Furstenberg and step dad to her two children Alex and Tatiana, and was hosting his own Oscar party at the Beverly Hills hotel tonight while QVC took over the Four Seasons for a major red-carpet affair that was televised live on the QVC in the US. Celebrity-owned QVC brands from Cindy Crawford, Guliana Rancic, Joans Rivers, and Jay Manuel were represented on multiple stages by the QVC hosts and models with the outrageous party going on in the background. QVC girls walked around with computer trays taking orders from the party-goers that included Beverly Hills icon and actress Joan Collins, Rick and Kathy Hilton and Morgan Fairchild who all huddled in a group talking by one of the stages.

Denise Richards (former Bond girl and Charlie Sheen’s ex wife and star of her own E! reality show) was there with her bff and make-up artist Joanna Schlip. Gorgeous model Rani Sanderson manned the red-carpterd steps up to the main platform where Jay Manuel, E!’s Fashion Police critic, promoted his own QVC brand live for cameras, in a silver silk and sequin black suit.

Much in his likeness, Bardot promoter Andreas Rigal also rocked sequin pants and a white tux jacket while hanging reality show personality Tila Tequila – originally made famous for being the most popular girl on Myspace, but more recently know for being connected with Casey Johnson, who died of diabetes complications in January.

Despite the grand transformation Spec Productions did in the Four Season’s backyard garden, with bridges erected over fountains, ivy archways and green, glowing palms trees, the most outrageous scene of the evening were ladies in high heels and elderly gentlemen, dragging through the marble lobby, the enormous gift bags, specially designed by Guliana Rancic, that weighed – and I literally weighed mine at home later to check – over 65 pounds. Gifts in the gift bag ranged from jewelry from QVC veterans Joan Rivers and Kenneth Jay Lane to newcomers like Guilana depandi Rancic’s new line with QVC. A warm cozy fluffy blanket from Dennis Basso (who we saw at the Gagosian gallery opening the night before), a camera from Kodak, beauty products from Chaz Dean, Cindy Crawford and MD Perricone, even two bags within the bag from Makwsky and MAXX New York, an emergency/self powered radio/flashlight/USB post charger called SolarLink from Eton, and more!! WOW!!

We literally had to bride on of the 10,000 Elite Car Service chauffeurs to ditch their waitings post to drive us (we walked as we live just around the corner).

More TDI Audi clean SUVs, the Oscar marketing stunt from Audi, continued to deliver celebs between the many events of the evening, including this event as well as the an ICM technical nominees party going on next to the garden in the Four Seasons’s new restaurant Culina.

March 5th, 2010

Today 2 of my friends, Kirsten and Rachel, came with me to see Alice in Wonderland in 3-D at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood; We had the best time !!!

The movie was beyond amazing from the beginning…. I never say that I wouldn’t want to change anything (except Anne Hathaway), but I did this time!  I was really impressed with all aspects of the film.

I loved the characters, great freaking character development !

We laughed sooooo many times.

Following the movie, we walked back to our car which was parked at the Roosevelt Hotel, and decided to eat at our fav late night spot (if in Hollywood), 25 Degrees.

Halfway through our scrumptious food coma inducing meal, “Michael Jackson” and “Marilyn Monroe” came in to eat and royally creeped us out.  I wish I was able to get a shot from the front, but they were kinda scary lol.
