Los Angeles based lifestyle website The Daily Truffle is seeking interns to help with our LA site. We will give you great recommendations, introduce you to people you need to know, teach you everything we can, and more! We are based in LA with a small and growing presence in NY and DC. You can work from home or school. School credit is available. This is an unpaid internship with rolling dates. We will work with your schedule!


An ideal candidate has a long term desire to be a journalist, reporter, writer or an author.


  • Assist with grammar, spelling, fact checking, and research for editorial stories. Update calendar listings. Apply tags and SEO elements. 
  • Making your writing understandable is the first step to great content! Grammar and spelling are a writer’s best friend. We need oodles of help with this. 
  • Facts are facts. But can your prove it? Yes, if you bothered to fact check it in the first place. Sometimes this is a painful chore but other times it is a great way to meet new people and can be lots of fun! 
  • Research is the best way to build a dull story. If you are looking to write on a topic but don’t know how to build it out, research will guide you there. 


  • Basic understanding of WordPress. 
  • Prior work or deep interest in creative writing, journalism or blogging. 
  • Imagination, wit, creativity and humor are key.

Website Design / WordPress Intern

Interns to help with lite web design in WordPress and site maintenance.


  • We have on-going site maintenance needs. We also need to build out certain areas of the site. You will not be expected to do it all yourself. We will work as a team. Anything you dont know, we will walk you through learning so that you can do as much on your own as possible.


  • Prior knowledge of WordPress.

Graphic Design & Photography Intern

Interns to help with visual elements of the site, photos and collages! An ideal candidate has experience with photography, and is handy with photo filter apps and programs and other technical elements of design.


  • Handle photos for upcoming stories.
  • Filter, crop, touch-up photos as needed.
  • Upload, center and caption photos.
  • Name photos and visual elements properly.
  • Create visual site elements, collages, and other visual elements for editorial support.


  • Understanding of photo programs – can be Illustrator, Photoshop, Paint, Elements or other.
  • Basic understanding of how to upload, place and caption photos in WordPress.
  • Learn naming rules for uploads (we can teach you these).
  • Know how to use photo filter apps and photo programs, either on a Smart Phone or computer.
