Originally posted April 2010 Since fall we've been seeing the turn to the brass knuckle ring. An interesting way to combine fashion with anger, fear, and possibly rage. I myself decided to arm up for spring with a trip to F21 which cost me $3.80 for the ring, $3.00 for parking, some change for tax and $42.00 for take out at the Luxe on the way out. Vanessa Paradis and Diane Kruger were at a movie theater in Saint Tropez last night to see Karl Lagerfeld's latest mini movie for Chanel. The film is to be released on May 11th for the 2010 Cruise show and "premieres" on Chanel News Tuesday at 7:30pm CT. Fantastic Plastic? Miuccia Prada wanted her collection for Spring Summer 2010 to reflect a girl who would go from work to the beach. Overall, I enjoyed this collection because most pieces seemed very wearable and the silhouettes felt fresh. I thoroughly enjoyed the colors selected for this seasons designs because they were not your average spring slash summer colors. Chanel's new gauche McDonald's ad campaign is a sign of recession - photo shoots without models equals ads that won't trickle down to your pocketbooks. It's not like they're working with Carol Bouquest or Catherine Deneuve anymore anyway - but geez - what are they saying? Double C's are the new Golden Arches?
