W Magazine (a Truffle fave) just posted some chic pictures from the Frick’s Annual Young Fellows Ball and we thought we’d just steal one or two for you …. A costume party really, with the likes of Davy Crockett, Marie Antoinette, Madonna at the museum’s annual themed ball. This year’s theme was “Dance of Time,” meant to reflect the museum’s current exhibit “Precision & Splendor: Clocks and Watches at the Frick Collection.”
On Monday December 10th, Charity Water hosted its 7th Annual Charity: Ball gala at the 69th Regiment Armory. Hosted by SNL star, Seth Meyers, the Charity: Ball raised over $3 million dollars as David Schwimmer, Whoppi Goldberg and David Blaine among others attended.
On Tuesday December 11th, the Whitney hosted its annual fall Studio Party gala. Originally scheduled for October 30th, the Whitney Studio Party was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy and was moved from the Hudson River Park’s Pier 57 to its original location at the Whitney Museum on the UES. Guest’s included socialites Hannah Bronfman, Daisy Johnson, Peter Davis, Timo Weiland, Lo Bosworth and Jon Neidich, among others. During the event, attendees were able to experience Microsoft’s new Windows 8 product in addition to enjoying cocktails by Southern Wines and Spirits of New York.
Meanwhile, The Weinstein Company hosted the after party for the premiere of Quentin Tarintino’s “Django Unchained.” Hosted at the Standard’s Biergarten, the event was filled with holiday elite including: Cameron Diaz, Jamie Foxx and Harvey Weinstein as well as Russell Simmons and Olivia Palermo.
Hollywood dominated the NYC scene last night as Euphoria Calvin Klein presented the IFP Gotham Independent Awards. During the event, Matt Damon accepted the male “Tribute” award as stars Jack Black, Emily Blunt, Amy Adams, Marion Cotillard and Ethan Hawke, among others were in attendance.
Meanwhile, DeLeon Tequila, Men’s Health and The Cinema Society hosted the after party for Brad Pitt‘s new film, “Killing Them Softly.” Following the screening at the SVA Theatre, stars including Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini as well as Russell Simmons, Kanye West, Amy Sacco and Harvey Weinstein attended the official after party at hotspot, No. 8.
Monday night in New York, the Independent Curators International (ICI) celebrated their annual Benefit and Auction at the Prince George Ballroom downtown, honoring Dasha Zhukova as a recipient of the Leo Award by philanthropist Agnes Gund.
